Dr. Michelann Michelena

Michelann Michelena, Doctor of Chiropractic

Dr. Michelena graduated from California State University, Stanislaus in 2004 obtaining a degree in Physical Education with a concentration in Wellness Management and a minor in Chemistry. She then continued her education at Palmer College of Chiropractic West, graduating in 2007. She focused her study on an integrative health approach, addressing the physical, chemical, and emotional aspects of health, thus treating the person as a whole rather than just the symptoms.

Chiropractic care focuses on disorders of the musculoskeletal system and the nervous system, and the effects of these disorders on general health. In short, we return joints into alignment and restore motion to previously misaligned or “subluxated” joints that have restricted movement, contributing to physical, chemical, or mental dysfunction. In a typical treatment Dr. Michelena utilizes an assortment of learned skills through many hours of education, which she continues to pursue. Some or all of these may be incorporated in a treatment giving a patient effective, personalized care.
